SK Shieldus' physical security brand ADT Caps said on Oct. 20 it will expand cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training for its dispatch personnel as part of efforts to strengthen on-site emergency response capabilities.

ADT Caps on Oct. 19 held its fifth CPR session this year for dispatch personnel at SK Shieldus' Samseong-dong office.

The company said the training was led by professional instructors from the Korean Red Cross and focused on practical skills needed to respond to emergencies. It covered CPR theory and practice, how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) and first aid for airway obstruction.

ADT Caps has strengthened professional training so dispatch personnel working closest to customers can respond quickly not only to security incidents but also to emergencies. It has run CPR training for new dispatch personnel since 2023, and from this year expanded it to dispatch staff with varying years of service in cooperation with the Korean Red Cross. As of last month, trainees at multiple branches including North Incheon, Asan, Ulsan and Gyeongju completed the course, the company said.
