World open-sources ProveKit zero-knowledge proof toolkit used in World ID

World said on Sept. 7 it has open-sourced ProveKit, a zero-knowledge proof toolkit that can verify age, nationality or valid ID possession without disclosing personal information. The company said it has opened to external developers the technology used in World ID, its “Proof of Human” system, and expects developers to build privacy-preserving identity checks into apps and services. ProveKit processes proofs on users’ devices rather than external servers.

NIA carries out restructuring to support push to become top 3 AI power

South Korea's National Information Society Agency (NIA) said on Sept. 7 it carried out an organisational restructuring to strengthen execution of national AI policy and respond to three mega-projects. It upgraded its AI Government Infrastructure Support Unit to a headquarters unit and created an AI Government Projects Team. NIA also consolidated AX support functions and launched an Agentic AI Innovation Team. It added physical AI data functions to a data team and may expand support systems later.
