Woori Bank teams up with Toss Place to improve payment environment for small merchants

Woori Bank is partnering with Toss Place to support improvements in the payment environment for small merchants and self-employed business owners. The bank said it will run an event from July 6 to Dec. 31 to support merchant terminal purchases and changes to payment accounts. Merchants who newly buy a Toss Place terminal and designate or switch their card settlement deposit account to Woori Bank will receive 80,000 won.

Toss to roll out Facepay at Nonghyup Mokuchon dining brands

Viva Republica, the operator of Toss, will work with Nonghyup Mokuchon’s dining business unit to roll out its facial payment service, Facepay, at restaurant franchise stores in phases. Toss said on Thursday it signed a strategic business agreement and will install Toss Front at Mokuchon dining brands. The rollout will cover Toreore, Wellbeing Maeul, Misowadon and the new M Cafe brand. The companies also plan joint payment promotions and marketing.

Toss launches Toss One Shinhan Card tailored for FacePay

Viva Republica, operator of South Korean fintech app Toss, has launched a co-branded credit card with Shinhan Card for users of its FacePay facial payment service. The Toss One Shinhan Card offers discounts across everyday spending such as cafes, restaurants and convenience stores, with higher discounts when paying via FacePay or at Toss Front terminals. It also provides Toss Prime free for two months and support for fees under certain conditions.
