Viva Republica, the operator of Toss, will introduce its facial-payment service, Facepay, at chicken franchise Mexicana stores nationwide. It plans to expand places where facial payments can be used in the dining franchise sector by installing payment terminals and supporting merchant operations.
Toss said on July 31 it signed a business agreement with Mexicana and will introduce Facepay sequentially at about 700 Mexicana stores nationwide.
The companies will install the Toss Front payment terminal at Mexicana stores and expand face-authentication-based payments. Franchisees seeking to adopt the service can apply through Toss and Mexicana headquarters, and installations will proceed in the order applications are received.
Toss will be responsible for building payment systems tailored to store environments and providing technical support. Mexicana will inform franchisees about adopting the service and support operational stabilisation.
The companies also plan to pursue joint promotions and marketing for Facepay users after terminal installations.
A Toss official said, "We will continue our cooperation so that we can provide a fast and convenient payment experience even in places such as chicken franchises, where takeout and pickup are frequent."
