Viva Republica, the operator of Toss, will cooperate with Nonghyup Mokuchon’s dining business unit to roll out the facial payment service Facepay in stages at restaurant franchise outlets.
Toss said on Thursday it signed a strategic business agreement with the Nonghyup Mokuchon dining business unit and will install Toss Front at Nonghyup Mokuchon dining brands.
Under the agreement, the service is set to be introduced sequentially at the chicken franchise Toreore, the livestock-specialty brand Wellbeing Maeul, Misowadon and the new brand M Cafe.
The two companies will also pursue joint payment promotions and marketing activities, starting with the adoption of Facepay. They plan to expand benefits for customers at offline stores.
They also plan to continue cooperation at offline stores following Toss Shopping to expand customer touchpoints.
A Toss official said restaurant franchises are important places where customers, who visit frequently in daily life, can experience Facepay naturally.
