Toss Place, a subsidiary of Viva Republica that supplies payment terminals and POS solutions, is joining hands with Gwangju Bank to improve the payment environment for small merchants in the Gwangju and South Jeolla region.

Toss Place said on June 25 it signed a strategic business agreement with Gwangju Bank on June 24 to support small merchants in the Gwangju and South Jeolla region and help revitalise the local economy.

Under the agreement, Toss Place will provide its payment terminal, Toss Front, and store operation solutions including POS.

Gwangju Bank will cooperate on small-merchant support based on its local financial network. The two also plan joint marketing for small merchants.

Choi Jae-ho (최재호), CEO of Toss Place, said, "We will work to ensure that cooperation with Gwangju Bank can provide practical help for digital transformation and business operations for small merchants in the Gwangju and South Jeolla region."
