SK Broadband will launch a telecommunications and payment tie-up product on June 25 in cooperation with payment terminal and POS solution company Toss Place to ease operating cost burdens for small merchants.
On June 19, SKB said the partnership combines SKB’s stable high-speed communications infrastructure with Toss Place’s store management solution capabilities. It aims to address both the burden of store operating costs and the inconvenience of management faced by small merchants, it said.
Small merchants who subscribe to the new tie-up product can receive discounts of up to 4,400 won a month on SKB internet fees, depending on the applicable conditions. For SKB customers who install both Toss Front and Toss POS, Toss Front will be provided free of charge.
Toss Front is a device that supports all payment methods, including cards, Samsung Pay, Apple Pay and Face Pay. When linked with Toss POS, it enables efficient store operations such as switching to kiosk mode, customer management and sales analysis.
To mark the product launch, the two companies will run a thank-you event from June 25 to Aug. 31. Customers who receive consultations through SKB’s B World and B Direct Shop will be given ice cream coupons worth a total of 5 million won. Subscribers will be offered prizes worth a total of 10 million won, including laptops, tablets and TVs, through a draw.
The companies will also introduce on-site, tailored training programs to strengthen the self-sustaining capabilities of small merchants. They will provide practical information on responding to internet outages, how to use payment terminals and POS, and how to operate ordering solutions, while upgrading support.
Kwon Jung-hoon (권정훈), head of SOHO & Value at SKB, said the cooperation is meant to combine telecommunications and payment solution capabilities to reduce cost burdens for small merchants and support stable store operations. He added that the company will continue to expand benefits and support programs that small-merchant customers can feel.
