Korean game makers unveil new titles at Tokyo Game Show 2026
South Korean game companies are using Tokyo Game Show 2026 as a venue to test the market appeal of upcoming titles through hands-on demos for local users. Nexon, Netmarble, NC, Smilegate and Shift Up will showcase new games, playable builds and updated versions, and link booth programs to social media follows, pre-registration and closed beta sign-ups. Organisers say companies from 51 countries and regions will attend, including 38 participants from South Korea.

Shift Up to release \'Stellar Blade\' Switch 2 version within 2026
Shift Up confirmed it will release a Nintendo Switch 2 version of \"Stellar Blade\" within 2026 and unveiled a new trailer and key art on Aug. 24. The company is expanding the title, first released on PlayStation 5 in 2024, to Switch 2 following its PC release. The newly released \"Stellar Blade Complete Edition\" bundles the base game and all additional content provided after launch.

G-Star, South Korea\'s largest game exhibition, plans to broaden its scope to AI, webtoons and mobility while expanding organiser-led in-house content to reduce dependence on participating game studios. The organisers named expansion of industry and audience reach and increased in-house content as key strategies for G-Star 2026, to be held in Busan in November. AI story platform Crack will be main sponsor, and Hyundai Motor will run a special programme.
