Shift Up unveiled an official sequel to a global hit at an international game show and signalled it would roll out its own service strategy.

Shift Up said on June 6 it first revealed the official title and a new trailer for "Stellar Blade" sequel "Stellar Blade: Blood Rain" at "Summer Game Fest 2026 (SGF 2026)," which opened on June 5 local time.

The trailer, shown for the first time at the event, runs 3 minutes 30 seconds and is made up of actual in-game gameplay footage. It is set after the events of the previous title and introduces a new protagonist, Evie, with a new story set in an expanded world.

Shift Up executive director Kim Hyung-tae (김형태) said, "I am happy to finally show the next chapter of Stellar Blade to the fans who loved the previous title." He added, "It is still in the early stages of development, but we are focusing our capabilities on delivering a new experience by developing the stylish action, world view and core elements that fans loved in the previous title."

Shift Up, meanwhile, plans to handle publishing for Stellar Blade: Blood Rain itself. Details such as specific launch platforms and schedules will be disclosed later, and the newly released trailer can be viewed on Shift Up's official YouTube channel and the official SGF 2026 channel.
