Samsung to offer USDC transfers in Samsung Wallet for U.S. Galaxy users, supporting Sui and Solana

Samsung Electronics will offer U.S. Galaxy users a USDC stablecoin transfer service in Samsung Wallet from late October, supporting the Solana and Sui blockchain networks. USDC is the first stablecoin supported by Samsung Wallet. Samsung will not charge fees to send USDC to overseas crypto wallets, though receiving wallets or exchanges may. Bastion will handle overseas remittances and has designated Coinbase as a sub-custodian, with USDC stored in Coinbase Prime Vault.

Sui joins Samsung Wallet as partner to support Sui-based USDC transfers for Galaxy users

Layer 1 blockchain Sui said on Wednesday it has been selected as Samsung Wallet\'s blockchain infrastructure partner for stablecoin support. Galaxy device users will be able to send and receive Sui-native USDC directly in Samsung Wallet with free or near-zero fees. Samsung and Sui aim to add stablecoin remittance to an everyday wallet. Sui said the service will begin as a pilot in the United States and expand globally.

Woori Bank launches savings product offering up to 9 percent interest

Woori Bank has launched the Woori Financial Together Savings 2 product linked to Woori Financial Group\'s 2026 Woori Financial Together Festa. The savings account offers a maximum annual interest rate of 9 percent, combining a base rate of 3.5 percent with up to 5.5 percentage points in preferential rates. The 12-month, non-face-to-face product is available via WooriWON Banking, with monthly deposits capped at 300,000 won.
