HectoFinancial will work with Samsung Electronics to upgrade the 'Popular Card Finder' service in Samsung Wallet. It will recommend cards tailored to monthly spending themes and provide point benefits linked to card issuer events.

HectoFinancial said on Wednesday it will expand recommendation features and user benefits for Popular Card Finder so Samsung Wallet users can find cards that match their spending.

Popular Card Finder provides rankings of card use by category, including payments, registrations, debit cards and overseas payments, based on Samsung Wallet statistical data. Users can also search for credit cards by conditions and check cashback events by card issuer and card benefit information.

HectoFinancial will add a card recommendation feature tailored to monthly themes such as holidays, vacation seasons and year-end and New Year periods. It is designed to allow users to compare benefits across multiple cards based on seasonal spending patterns and interests.

It will also provide benefits linked to card issuer events. Users can check cashback and new card issuance events by issuer, and can receive additional 'Samsung Wallet points' if they meet participation conditions. The points can be used at online and offline merchants where Samsung Pay payments are available.

HectoFinancial plans to upgrade Popular Card Finder into a card curation service by using data-based comparison and recommendation capabilities secured through The Ssen Card, a Hecto Group platform for comparing card benefits.

HectoFinancial entered the offline payment agency market in 2022 following the rollout of Samsung Electronics kiosks, and obtained official distribution partner status for Samsung Electronics this year. The partnership expanded the scope of cooperation between the two companies from offline payments and distribution to digital financial services.

He added, "We will expand user benefits by combining payment and settlement infrastructure with data-based financial services."
