Kakao Mobility steps up robot platform business, targets integrated operations for different robots
Kakao Mobility is stepping up its robot platform business, aiming to adapt its dispatch and control technology from Kakao T taxi operations to robot deployments. The company unveiled the structure and business direction of its KM Autonomous Agent Platform at a seminar in Pangyo. Executives said the industry focus is shifting to standardised operation and control of multiple robots. Kakao Mobility cited results from hotel delivery deployments and outlined plans to expand robot types, integrations and exception handling.

KB Asset Management lists Hyundai Motor Group physical AI investment ETF
KB Asset Management will list the RISE Hyundai Motor Fixed Physical AI ETF on May 12. The fund invests in key Hyundai Motor Group affiliates and partner companies expected to benefit from the group’s shift to robotics and artificial intelligence. Its benchmark is the KEDI Hyundai Motor Fixed Physical AI Index, which holds Hyundai Motor at a fixed 25 percent and invests in 14 stocks with high similarity to areas such as autonomous driving, robotics and factory automation.

South Korea\'s National Artificial Intelligence Strategy Committee has set up new subcommittees on autonomous driving and humanoid robots to expand industrial AI transition. The committee held kickoff meetings and began discussing key agendas to implement the national AI action plan. The autonomous driving group reviewed transport ministry plans and debated data, infrastructure and rules, while the humanoid group heard industry presentations and a trade ministry draft plan covering capabilities and ecosystem support.
