Perplexity alumnus launches Polar AI browser aimed at knowledge workers
Kevin Zhang, who took part in developing Perplexity\'s AI browser Comet, has founded an AI browser startup called Polar aimed at knowledge workers and raised $5.7 million in seed funding. TechCrunch reported the round was led by Madrona. Polar focuses on workflow automation rather than consumer browsing, letting users delegate tasks to agents based on open tabs and save prompts. The browser is free with limited daily credits, with subscriptions starting at $20 a month for higher limits.

Fitbit Air matches Apple Watch Ultra3 on heart rate but lags on GPS in 10 km test
Google\'s new fitness tracker Fitbit Air showed performance similar to a high-priced smartwatch in measuring heart rate and calories, but revealed noticeable errors in running distance and pace. TechRadar ran a 10 km test while wearing Fitbit Air and Apple Watch Ultra3. Average heart rate differed by 3 beats per minute and calories were close. Fitbit Air recorded a faster pace and longer distance, and offered fewer detailed running metrics.
