Major South Korean game companies are running special events for the Lunar New Year holiday, using traditional elements such as lucky pouches, rice cake soup and yutnori. Players can obtain limited items and growth resources by logging in and completing missions during the holiday period.
Nexon is holding Lunar New Year events across 12 online games and seven mobile games. "EA SPORTS FC Online" will run a "Lunar New Year burning event" from Feb. 14 to 18. Players can get up to a "TOTY-N 5 to 6 upgrade" for the first 1-minute login from home, and up to a "24UCL 8 upgrade player pack" for logging in for 10 minutes and 60 minutes each day. Those who log in for a total of 5 hours will receive items including a "40 percent fee discount coupon" and a "GK 11 upgrade chance box." The same event will run at PC cafes. Players can get up to an "LE, WB 8 upgrade player pack" for logging in for 10 minutes and 60 minutes each day, and items including a "50 percent fee discount coupon" and a "BLD, BDO, CU 11 upgrade box" for a total of 5 hours.
"MapleStory" will run a "Tell us your New Year wish" event from Feb. 16 to 22. Players can obtain 1 new "New Year wish chair" and 2 "VIP sauna tickets" by completing three missions in sequence to check New Year wish notes with a character at level 101 or higher, or a Zero character that has completed the Chapter 2 story quest. "Sudden Attack" will run a Lunar New Year survival burning event through Feb. 26, offering chances to obtain time-limited items such as "SIG556(IS) Polar Bear" and "SG870 Choco Cookie" each time players complete each of three daily missions, including "obtain 100 items in survival mode." It will offer double item acquisition chances on weekends and public holidays.
Among Nexon mobile games, "Mabinogi Mobile" will award event currency "Wood Sackper" for participation in the "Daily Weekly! Full of luck" and "Starting the new year in Erinn!" events, available through March 5, as well as the "Lunar New Year on-time" event from Feb. 14 to 18. Players can exchange the currency for items including the "Calm Morning hanbok costume set" and "Action: lucky pouch/spinning top/kite flying." "MapleStoryM" will roll out two Lunar New Year events each day from Feb. 14 to 20. On Lunar New Year day it will provide up to an additional 200 percent party experience, and will gift items including "Meso mileage card (100 million)" and an "auto-battle recharge ticket (1 hour)" every hour during auto-battle.
"Dungeon & Fighter Mobile" will run a "Lunar New Year lucky festive outfit draw" event through 6 a.m. on Feb. 26. Players using a "Lunar holiday gift ticket" can obtain a "2026 festive outfit box" that includes various avatar sets, as well as items including "catalyst" and "Ryon Coke." From Feb. 16, the "Lunar New Year Dunginugeol check-in!" event will allow players to activate various effects, including increased strength and intelligence and reduced skill cooldown time, through 6 a.m. on Feb. 26 after checking in for three days, along with a phrase that lets them check this year's fortune.
Netmarble is holding Lunar New Year events across 13 games. "Seven Knights Re:Birth" will run a mission event through Feb. 19, offering Lunar New Year special summons that can summon former Seven Knights heroes and rewards including the "Yui festive outfit costume" for completing in-game missions. It is also holding a crafting event that allows players to combine Lunar New Year rice cake soup, five-colored garnish and dumplings obtained through adventures and raids into items including a "Lunar New Year special summon ticket." Players can also receive items including a "hero summon ticket" and a "shining skill enhancement stone" by checking in.
"Vampir" will run a "Lunar New Year restoration ticket attendance book" through March 4, allowing players to obtain four types of restoration tickets covering weapons, armor, accessories and attachments. A "Lunar New Year lucky pouch event" will offer rewards including an "appearance and mount 11 summon ticket," "artifact enhancement stone" and "Tritini." A "Lunar New Year special dungeon" event will allow players to exchange items using "Essence of Calm Morning" obtained in the event dungeon.
"Solo Leveling: ARISE" will allow players to obtain 100 "custom recruitment tickets" by logging in through March 12. "King of Fighter AFK" will run a "Lunar New Year special login reward event" from Feb. 14 to 19. Players can obtain up to 100,000 rubies by logging in during the event period, and will receive additional "lucky pouches" during three days of the Lunar New Year holiday. Opening a "lucky pouch" can provide rewards including up to 1,000,000 rubies, a legend fighter selection ticket and 100 hours of offline gold.
NCSoft is holding Lunar New Year events across seven games in service. "Lineage M" will run the "Aden's warm Lunar New Year" event until before scheduled maintenance on Feb. 19. Players can enhance event items obtainable during play, including "Lunar New Year yut," "Lunar New Year shield kite" and "Lunar New Year lucky pouch," to craft various rewards or receive event collection effects. During the period, daily usage time for all special dungeons will increase by 1 hour, and trial dungeon completion rewards will triple. On Lunar New Year day, generous gifts including "rice cake soup," a "New Year's money envelope," a "red horse fishing rod," an "all-purpose charging stone" and a "mysterious comprehensive draw pack box" will be delivered via in-game mail.
"Lineage2M" will run the "Seollentine season week" event through Feb. 25. Players can craft "Seollentine chocolate glutinous rice cake" by collecting "Seollentine chocolate" from the in-game shop and season pass rewards and "Seollentine glutinous rice cake" from the solo event dungeon "New Year fortune garden." "Seollentine chocolate glutinous rice cake" can be exchanged for new hanbok-wearing classes "Kim Kay" (hero) and "Liberty Lido" (rare). At 6 p.m. on Feb. 17, it will provide a Lunar New Year special item to all users via in-game mail.
"Throne and Liberty (TL)" will run the "Happy Luna New Year!" event through Feb. 24. Players can exchange "New Year coins" collected by playing various content for items including "Profile frame: Blessing of the Red Horse," "Title: Lucky star of 2026," "Emote motion: Heart gift" and various buff items. Players can also obtain additional rewards, including "housing furniture" and "lucky envelopes" containing in-game currency "Solant," by interacting with event NPCs and horse statues in major hub towns.
Wemade is holding Lunar New Year special events across five flagship games. "The Legend of Mir 2" will run "kite flying" and "lucky bamboo strainer crafting" events through March 4. Players can collect materials through hunting to fly kites and play a board game to receive items including "Seal Demon Stone" and "rice cake soup." Collecting bamboo to enhance an "five-colored lucky bamboo strainer" or successfully crafting a "legendary bamboo strainer" will provide a top-tier guardian stone item with high performance. It will also offer a chance to obtain a Cheonryong-grade weapon as a special first-come, first-served crafting reward.
"Mir4" will offer gifts including a "legendary dragon divine weapon material selection box" through a "Bicheon full fortune festival" attendance event through March 11. Through Feb. 25, a "five fortunes wish 7-day attendance" event will provide "Blessing of the Divine Dragon" tickets, which can be used to obtain restoration boxes. "Full fortune pouches" obtained through hunting can be exchanged at the exchange shop for items including a "legendary blue dragon statue."
"Night Crows" will run the "Lunar New Year Gamak's special attendance" event through March 5, offering items including "Clemens coupon" and "radiant guardian spirit summon." The "Gamak's Lunar New Year gift" event, which provides three types of "Clemens platinum coupons" for completing missions, will run through Feb. 26. During the same period, players can obtain "lucky pouches" by hunting monsters in certain dungeons and fields, and use them as materials to craft various items in the "Gamak's lucky pouch collection event."
Com2uS is rolling out special events for the Lunar New Year holiday across "Summoners War: Sky Arena," "IMO" and two baseball games. "Summoners War" will run the "2026 daily lucky pouch event" through March 1. Players can obtain "lucky pouches" by using "Ameria's luck" or playing PvP content to receive daily rewards including 6-star legendary-grade runes, and receive additional items including "Devilmon" and "Lucky magic box ticket" depending on the cumulative number obtained. Players can open a "Lucky magic box" in the limited-time "surprise shop" with event tickets for a chance to obtain up to a collaboration summon scroll, and can receive one "mystical summon scroll" each day.
In "Com2uS Pro Baseball 2026," players who complete daily missions through March 1 can obtain daily rewards including an "advanced coach pack" and a "lucky box," as well as event currency "Bandal." Depending on the cumulative amount, they can obtain items including a "transcend breakthrough activation ticket," a "grade increase reset ticket" and an "epic player pack." A stage mode event running through March 3 will provide top-tier items including a "unique ability selection change ticket." Players who play during the holiday period will receive a "gold lucky bag" and a Lunar New Year day (Feb. 17) special coupon.
"Com2uS Pro Baseball V26" will run the "Lunar New Year event scout" from Feb. 12 to 28, allowing players to complete missions and obtain items including a "right-handed ace impact team selection pack" and a "signature recruitment joker card." An event starting Feb. 17 will provide a "Lunar New Year lucky pouch" containing a "Golden Glove trophy." Players can also obtain team-strengthening items such as an "advanced badge for enhancement success" by participating in special matches and play events.
Kakao Games is also holding Lunar New Year events. "Odin: Valhalla Rising" will, for the first time during its service period, distribute a "legendary weapon appearance summon ticket" for free in the in-game shop through Feb. 25. It will run an attendance event through March 18, providing up to 66 "summon tickets of light" and "Odin weapon, armor and accessory enhancement stones." It will award 2 "Odin relic enhancement stones" to users who complete "relic"-related missions to mark Lunar New Year. During the same period, players can collect "seeds of luck" in fields and elite dungeons and exchange them for items including a "Gaonnuri appearance acquisition ticket" and a "2026 Lunar New Year lucky pouch."
"Battleground" will run the "2026 Year of the Red Horse! Lunar New Year three-line acrostic event" through Feb. 22. It will provide up to 1,000 G-Coin to winners selected by draw among participants. From Feb. 13 to 18, it will award 500 G-Coin by draw to users who survive at least 20 minutes 26 seconds in normal, ranked and casual modes. During the same period, it will also award 300 G-Coin by draw to users who upload Lunar New Year-themed outfit images to the event bulletin board.
