KB Financial steps up support for national merit recipients ahead of Memorial Day
KB Financial Group is expanding veterans-related support ahead of South Korea’s 71st Memorial Day, it said on Thursday. KB Kookmin Bank carried out volunteer work at Seoul National Cemetery and will launch a remittance cheque service for overseas recipients of veterans benefits on June 8, waiving issuance fees. KB Capital continues a cane-support programme for Korean War veterans. The group also backs descendants of independence activists and provides scholarships for children of fallen or injured public servants.

Baemin launches campaign thanking national merit recipients, offers 400 discount coupons daily
Woowa Brothers, operator of the Baedal Minjok delivery app, is launching a campaign with the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs in June to promote a culture of respect for national merit recipients. The campaign uses an idea selected in a public contest held by the ministry in March and April. Users who view related content in the app and share the page link can receive a 5,000-won discount coupon, limited to the first 400 each day through June 8.

LG Uplus links MVNO plans to Moduui Bohun Market app, backs business MOUs
LG Uplus said on Monday it supported the signing of business agreements between the operator of the discount app Moduui Bohun Market and small MVNO operators by linking them to the app for national merit recipients and discharged soldiers. Three MVNOs signed MOUs on May 29 in Seoul. New MVNO plans will be introduced in the app in mid-June, offering 24 plans with discounts of about 20 to 30 percent and a promotion lasting about three months.
