Shinhan Bank volunteers with Marine Corps 2nd Division to support national merit recipients
Shinhan Bank said on March 24 it carried out a volunteer program with the Republic of Korea Marine Corps 2nd Division to assemble daily necessities kits for low-income national merit recipients and war veterans. The activity took place at the division in Gimpo, involving 20 bank executives and officials from the Marines and the Salvation Army. The bank also provided financial education to service members and delivered comfort gifts.

KT M Mobile launches rate plans for vulnerable groups
KT M Mobile on March 19 launched rate plans for welfare beneficiaries to ease telecommunications costs for vulnerable groups. The company introduced four plans for MVNO users, each priced below 10,000 won a month and offering unlimited voice calls, text messages and data. It said the plans are designed to be up to about 20 percent cheaper than general plans with similar data allowances. Eligible subscribers include disabled people, national merit recipients and low-income groups, including some organisations.

KB Kookmin Bank launches first-half 2026 recruitment for entry-level bankers
KB Kookmin Bank said on Tuesday it will recruit entry-level bankers for the first half of 2026 to respond to changes in the financial environment and create new value. The hiring will cover about 110 people across five tracks: UB for corporate client finance and asset management, UB for regional talent, discharged officers, ESG shared growth, and veterans. Applications are due by March 25, with final results to be announced in June.
