Shinhan Bank marks 44th anniversary; CEO says remember founders\' spirit and value of customers
Shinhan Bank marked its 44th anniversary on Tuesday with a ceremony at its headquarters in central Seoul. Chief executive Jeong Sang-hyeok said the bank has prioritised customer satisfaction and urged staff not to forget the meaning of customers and to remember the mindset and urgency of its founding. The bank is also running customer appreciation events through its Shinhan Super SOL app and holding an employee participation running and plogging campaign with donations.

Korea Post to deliver honour plaques to families of soldiers, police killed in Korean War
The Ministry of Science and ICT’s Korea Post and the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs signed an agreement on June 30 to award honour plaques to families of soldiers and police who died in the Korean War. The programme aims to honour their sacrifice and improve courtesy services for elderly bereaved families. Using post offices and letter carrier networks nationwide, Korea Post plans to visit homes to deliver plaques and provide a checklist-based follow-up service from 2026.

NH Nonghyup Bank carried out a social contribution programme for national merit honorees and veterans’ families during the month of remembrance. The bank said it donated 1 ton of Korean rice with Hecto Financial to the Jung-gu Patriots and Veterans Hall in Seoul on June 17 and held a sharing event.
