Flare co-founder welcomes Charles Hoskinson return after XRP-BTC clash

Flare co-founder Hugo Philion publicly supported Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson\'s return to activity on X, after the two clashed over XRP and bitcoin interoperability and bitcoin-based DeFi strategy. Philion said the crypto industry would be worse off without Hoskinson, Cardano and Midnight, while maintaining Cardano was duplicating work that could be done using FXRP and Flare Bitcoin via LayerZero. Hoskinson had briefly reduced public activity before returning.

Charles Hoskinson says XRP DeFi could outpace Ethereum by 2027, infrastructure is key

Charles Hoskinson (찰스 호스킨슨), founder of Cardano, said DeFi based on XRP could become one of the fastest-growing areas in crypto by 2027. He said XRP Ledger could grow faster than Ethereum-based DeFi over the long term if it secures cross-chain technology and tax-efficient blockchain infrastructure. He pointed to bridge technology and structures that let XRP holders join DeFi without selling assets, while noting XRP Ledger’s current TVL remains far smaller.

Charles Hoskinson signals Cardano overhaul, with roadmap and leadership in focus

Cardano (ADA) founder Charles Hoskinson raised the possibility of overhauling the project’s roadmap and leadership as he sought to restore its long-term vision. He said Cardano needed a purpose beyond price and acknowledged growing fatigue in the community. Hoskinson said he had suffered losses of more than $2.5 billion from Cardano’s decline and had wound down other projects to focus on Cardano and Midnight. He also revisited the idea of becoming a DRep, amid governance disputes over IOG proposals.
