Naver said on Oct. 26 it will run the second-half shopping event 'Neopda Sale' on Naver Plus Store through Nov. 8.
About 13,000 stores, up 30 percent from a year earlier, will take part and sell about 10 million products at discounted prices. The event includes products in major categories such as digital devices and home appliances, food, fashion, kids and daily necessities, as well as Naver Plus Store-exclusive items and brand collaboration products.
Naver will also run a brand-by-brand "relay special price" promotion during the event. On the first day, Oct. 26, it will feature digital devices and home appliances from Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, Apple and Dyson, and on Oct. 27 it will sell kids and childcare products from Huggies, Britax and Lego.
It expanded products made in collaboration with the Naver Plus Store character "Taek-i" to about 30 types. It will provide free gifts such as bath mats, sports towels and mugs when customers buy some items including Listerine, Maeil Soy Milk and Dolce Gusto products.
Discount coupons will be provided daily at 5 percent, 7 percent and 10 percent. Customers can receive discounts of up to 70,000 won depending on the purchase amount, and first-come, first-served coupons will be issued three times a day at midnight, 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Naver will also hold a "Membership Day" on Oct. 26, the first day of the event. Naver Plus Membership users can receive an additional 3 percent in rewards points when they spend 200,000 won or more.
Its membership-only grocery shopping service "Kurly N Mart" will offer a 30 percent discount coupon on the same day. "Super Rewards" and "Super Special Prices" will include Santa Maria Novella, Kiehl's, Adidas Underwear and Crocs.
New subscribers who have not had a Naver Plus Membership subscription in the past month will receive a three-month free pass on a first-come, first-served basis during the event period.
Naver first introduced the 'Neopda Sale' in the second half of last year and recorded 1 trillion won in sales for that event and this year's first-half event.
