An outlook has emerged that Cardano (ADA) could rebound sharply after a steep drop, as Solana did in the past.
On Oct. 13 (local time), blockchain outlet The Crypto Basic reported that George, a bitcoin commentator who runs CryptoUS, sees Cardano potentially repeating a pattern of recovering after sharp declines in each crypto bear market.
George cited the cohesion of the Cardano community and the continued involvement of founder Charles Hoskinson (찰스 호스킨슨) as reasons for a possible rebound. As long as Hoskinson remains with the project, Cardano's momentum for recovery would also be maintained, he explained.
He argued that although Cardano is pursuing governance decentralisation, Hoskinson's influence remains large. Comparing Hoskinson to Tesla's Elon Musk, he said ADA's price could plunge 90 percent if Hoskinson were to leave the project and declare he would stop support and development. Even if decision-making authority is spread across multiple parties, he judged that developer Input Output and Hoskinson's leadership remain the central axis of the ecosystem.
Community loyalty was also presented as a factor supporting the rebound case. George said ADA holders are staying in the ecosystem and continuing activity even in a difficult market environment. He also mentioned that the community's interest is shifting to Midnight, a privacy-focused blockchain ecosystem. Still, he added that some participants may be following the ecosystem's new development trend rather than fully understanding the background.
George cited Solana as a comparison. Solana fell as low as $8.14 in December 2022 in the wake of the FTX collapse, but its price jumped more than threefold in January the following year. It then rose above $125 in December 2023 and hit an all-time high of about $294 in January 2025. The gain from the low stands at about 3,500 percent.
Some in the market are also watching the possibility that Cardano could regain its previous peak of about $3. There is expectation that if ADA retakes its prior high and continues to rise, it could become a recovery case similar to Solana. Still, Solana's past rise cannot be applied as-is to Cardano's expected returns.
It remains uncertain whether Cardano will trace a recovery path like Solana. A key variable for any rebound will be whether community support and development results can be linked to a tangible expansion of usage and market demand.
