Motif builds proprietary tools instead of Nvidia software for homegrown AI foundation model development

Motif Technologies, a developer of proprietary AI foundation models, is seeking differentiation by using its own platform rather than Nvidia software tools. It says using Nvidia’s general-purpose tools makes it hard to beat big tech firms with superior computing power. Chief Executive Jung-hwan Lim said Nvidia tools limit developer flexibility and can lock users into Nvidia’s ecosystem. Motif uses Nvidia GPUs and CUDA but replaces Nvidia’s model development tools with in-house software.

Korea science ministry to co-host Nvidia Nemotron developer day in Seoul

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency will co-host Nvidia Nemotron Developer Day Seoul from April 21 to 24 at Front1 in Mapo, Seoul. The event will share research on Nvidia\'s open-source AI model Nemotron and build practical skills for local developers. Nvidia researchers will introduce synthetic data strategies and reinforcement learning for optimization. A panel with four consortia will discuss AI competitiveness and global expansion. A two-day hackathon will also be held.

Nvidia to launch AI agent hands-on development program in South Korea

Nvidia will present a hands-on programme called Build-a-Claw in Seoul from April 21 to 22 at dcamp Mapo, where participants can build AI agents. The programme, which drew strong interest at GTC 2026 in March, is an official session of NVIDIA Nemotron Developer Days Seoul 2026. Participants can build and customise LLM-based agents using OpenClaw and NemoClaw. The event also features DGX Spark and purchase consultations.
