Standard Chartered sees Arbitrum at $10 by 2030, expects boost from asset tokenisation

Standard Chartered expects Arbitrum to deliver higher returns than bitcoin and ether through 2030, citing changes in its revenue-sharing model as asset tokenisation grows in traditional finance. The bank said Arbitrum takes 10 percent of net protocol revenue from companies building services on the network. It highlighted Robinhood Chain as the first live example. The bank’s Geoffrey Kendrick said ARB could rise to $10, while flagging risks including slower tokenisation and stronger competition.

Privacy coins outpace bitcoin, up 213 percent in a year

Privacy coins posted the highest returns in the cryptocurrency market over the past year, with the sector up about 213 percent, blockchain outlet CoinPost reported, citing Glassnode analysis. Bitcoin remained 36 percent below its October 2025 peak, while the median of the top 200 coins was 58 percent lower. Privacy coins rose 90 percent over the past 30 days. Zcash surged 2,496 percent in a year and accounted for 62 percent of the sector\'s market value.

AWS breaks ground on new subsea cable linking U.S. and Japan, to launch in 2029

Amazon Web Services has unveiled Sta\'O\'Nuk, a new Pacific subsea cable linking Japan and the United States, targeting operations in 2029. The 20-pair fibre-optic system will provide 420 Tbps of bandwidth. AWS is focusing on diversifying landing points to reduce exposure to natural disasters, ship-related damage, fishing interference and geopolitical tensions. It also outlined multilayer security and risk-reduction measures for construction and physical access.
