Kling AI launches Kling 4.0 video AI model, generates 30-second video in one go

Kling AI on Thursday launched its new video generation model, Kling 4.0. The company said the upgrade strengthens realism, controllability and professional features, improving support for high-dynamic video production and bold camera movement. Kling 4.0 can natively generate up to 30 seconds of video in a single run. It also supports Omni Reference with up to 15 reference materials and 10 keyframes, and offers up to 10-bit HDR output with planned support for 4K and 1080p and a 21:9 aspect ratio.

Korea science ministry to hold AI Festa as 350 AI firms gather

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT will hold \"AI Week 2026-AI Festa\" at COEX in Seoul from Oct. 6 to 8, bringing together about 350 AI companies and institutions. The event will run about 500 exhibition booths and host exhibitions and conferences on AI technologies used in industry and daily life. It will feature foundation models, AI semiconductors, physical AI and defence AI, along with policy talks, diplomatic sessions and forums on quantum and cybersecurity.

National AI Strategy Committee discusses government-wide AI legislative framework centred on AI Basic Law

South Korea\'s National AI Strategy Committee will set a government-wide legislative direction centred on the AI Basic Law to meet rising demand for AI-related legislation after the law takes effect. It discussed a draft AI legislative framework at its fifth Chief AI Officer meeting in Seoul on Oct. 2. The framework sets four basic directions, including closing defence and security legislative gaps and improving predictability for businesses. Officials also reviewed preparations for the \'AI for Everyone\' service due for formal nationwide launch in December.
