Kling AI said on Thursday it has officially launched its new video generation model, Kling 4.0.
The company said the upgrade is aimed at strengthening realism, controllability and professional capability. It said support has improved for video production that requires high dynamic range and bold camera movement.
It said expressions of wide-ranging motion have stabilised, improving continuity in fast movement and complex camera motion.
It can natively generate up to 30 seconds of video in a single creation, supporting long takes and continuous narratives.
Its Omni Reference feature supports combining up to 15 reference materials and inputting up to 10 keyframes, helping creators realise concepts as finished cinematic works.
It also supports up to 10-bit HDR output, preserving detail in bright and dark areas even in backlit and night scenes. Support for 4K and 1080p resolution and a 21:9 ultrawide aspect ratio is also planned.
Kling also disclosed examples using Kling 4.0.
Director Kim Seong-su (김성수), who directed "12.12: The Day", recently introduced the AI short film "Worm Train" being produced with Kling 4.0 at the Busan International Film Festival's Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM).
Kling AI has secured more than 100 million users in 224 countries and regions worldwide. It provides services to more than 50,000 companies, and annual revenue is about $500 million.
Kling 4.0 can also be used by linking with Kling MCP (Model Context Protocol) and CLI (command-line interface). This allows creators to call Kling 4.0 functions using AI agents.
The company said it plans to release an API soon so corporate customers and developers can use Kling 4.0 directly in the service.
Kling AI recently also formed partnerships with the Korea AI Content Creators Association (AICCA) and the Korea Artificial Intelligence Association (KORAIA) to develop generative AI training courses, identify industrial use cases and match companies.
