An integrated portal has opened that allows users to check government AI transformation (AX) projects and AI infrastructure information in one place.

The Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea AI and Software Industry Association (KOSA) said on Aug. 4 they were launching the AX360 service, which brings together AI resource information from the government and private sector.

AX360 is a one-stop support portal that provides in one place information related to AI transformation that is scattered across ministry websites and individual companies. Users can search for government AX projects and AI resources, as well as information on companies on the demand and supply sides, and can apply for project-planning consulting in the future.

Under the government AX project search, it provides an overview of each project promoted by ministries, eligible recipients, project period, budget size and notice schedules. It also allows searches by project type, such as ordering agency, research and development (R&D), and demonstration and proof of concept (PoC).

Under the AX resource search, it provides information on graphics processing units (GPUs), AI models and data. For GPUs, users can check performance by model and use cases, private-sector service prices and government support programmes. For AI models, it provides guidance on model types, how to use them, pricing and adoption cases, including results from the second evaluation of proprietary AI foundation models. For data, it links to public and private data platforms such as AI Hub and MyData, allowing users to search for needed materials.

It also allows searches of AI technology and solutions from domestic companies. Users can combine functional categories such as infrastructure and data, models, application services and security with industry fields such as defence, healthcare and manufacturing to find partner companies.

The ministry plans to add a function to AX360 to apply for project-planning consulting. It plans to support government ministries and agencies so they can attach information on resources and partner companies they checked on the portal when applying for consulting.

Ryu Je-myung (류제명), the ministry's second vice minister, said, "We brought together government and private-sector AX information in one place from the demand-side perspective." He added, "We will provide seamless support for the entire AX process, from resource searches and finding companies to consulting and proof of concept."
