China agricultural drone workload about 30 times U.S., moving beyond adoption to industry
China\'s agricultural drone workload is about 30 times that of the United States, according to an estimate cited by Cleantechnica. China operated about 309,000 crop-protection drones as of early 2026 and carried out about 203 million hectares of treatment work in 2025. U.S. industry data put annual work by approved operators at about 16.4 million acres, or about 6.64 million hectares. The article says farmland area is similar in both countries, pointing to differences in operations and systems.

Apple introduces iPhone Handoff to use same number on two iPhones
Apple has added an iPhone Handoff feature in iOS 27 that allows the same phone number to be used on two iPhones. The feature enables calls and messages without running two separate carrier accounts. It was briefly shown at WWDC and later detailed at the Sept. 9 “Surprise and Shine” event. Both devices must run iOS 27 or later, be on the same Wi-Fi network and use the same Apple ID.

KAIST names former Samsung Electronics chairman Oh-Hyun Kwon as new board chairman
Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) said on Sept. 21 it appointed former Samsung Electronics chief executive and chairman Oh-Hyun Kwon as its new chairman of the board at its 298th extraordinary board meeting in Seoul. KAIST said Kwon studied electrical engineering at Seoul National University and KAIST, and earned a doctorate at Stanford. His term runs from the date of approval by the deputy prime minister and science and ICT minister to Aug. 19, 2029.
