[DigitalToday Ji-young Lee] Hana Bank is unveiling 'Hana Canvas,' a large media facade of about 1,783 square metres on the exterior wall of its Euljiro headquarters in Seoul. It will provide real-time financial information such as exchange rates and key financial indicators. The bank will also release 3D videos featuring Son Heung-min (손흥민) and seasonal media art content.

Hana Bank said on Sunday it would begin full operations of the media facade 'Hana Canvas' installed at its Euljiro headquarters in Seoul.

The media facade was built by expanding an existing electronic display and runs from the building's 5th floor to the 15th floor. It measures 41.28 metres wide and 43.20 metres high, for a total area of about 1,783 square metres. Hana Bank said it is the second-largest in South Korea.

The name 'Hana Canvas' is meant to convey the idea of providing citizens with a new experience by displaying financial information and various media content on a large screen.

Hana Bank plans to use the facility not only as an advertising medium but also as a 'financial information hub' delivering real-time financial data.

Based on the expertise of the bank's dealing room, it plans to provide alerts related to exchange rates, major indexes, financial policy and economic indicators. It also plans to deliver a daily summary of key trends in the financial market.

It also plans to present Hana Bank brand content and seasonal media art to provide various attractions for people moving between Myeongdong and Euljiro.

At the grand opening on Sunday, it will first unveil a large anamorphic (optical illusion 3D technique) video using Son Heung-min, its advertising model, and new time-signal content. It also plans to run a customer participation event to mark the opening.

From Nov. 13, it will present Christmas media art titled 'One Winter Fairy Tale for Everyone.' It plans to provide winter attractions in the Euljiro area with video content reflecting a year-end atmosphere.

'Hana Canvas' will operate daily from 6 a.m. to midnight, year-round, starting on Sunday after completing a trial operation.
