Three South Korean AI startups target global AI market using Oracle Cloud

Korea Oracle said VMIC, PromptTown and KAB Labs joined Oracle’s startup cooperation program Miracle and enhanced industry-specific work processes using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. It said Miracle is jointly run by Oracle, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, KISED and Seoul National University of Science and Technology. The companies reported lower infrastructure costs, faster processing speeds and plans to support customers across global hubs.

Minish Technology raises 30 billion won from VIG Partners at 150 billion won valuation

Health tech company Minish Technology said on May 28 it raised 30 billion won in investment from South Korean private equity firm VIG Partners, which valued the company at 150 billion won. VIG will secure a 20 percent stake through the investment. Minish Technology said VIG decided to invest after highly rating its natural tooth preservation and anti-ageing technology. The company supplies its tooth restoration solution to provider dental clinics.

Naver Cloud launches ACME automatic certificate management feature

Naver Cloud said on May 7 it will launch a new security feature called ACME that automatically manages certificates. The company said ACME, short for Automated Certificate Management Environment, is an international standard protocol that automatically issues, renews and revokes SSL/TLS certificates that prove the safety of network communications. The feature is available through Naver Cloud Platform’s Certificate Manager service, and supports open-source clients and automated renewal for OV certificates.
