Cplatform, an IT solutions company specialising in artificial intelligence and big data, cloud and security, unveiled its next-generation virtualisation platform Smart-V on Tuesday. It said it would step up its push into the high-performance virtualisation market with security built in.
The company said Smart-V is an enterprise virtualisation platform based on the open-source Proxmox. It said the platform provides a reasonable cost structure and flexible scalability compared with existing commercial virtualisation solutions.
It supports AI, machine learning and high-performance computing environments through GPU resource integration. It also provides stable performance in both desktop virtualisation and server virtualisation environments. Cplatform said Smart-V is drawing attention as a practical alternative platform that can respond to changes in the VMware-centred market structure.
The company said Smart-V integrates post-quantum cryptography-based security technology held by ITCEN PNS into the platform architecture. It said security is implemented by default across the virtualisation layer, including encryption at the virtual machine and storage unit levels, a management portal with built-in authentication and a security-first structure when integrating GPU resources.
Cplatform said it plans to pursue a next-generation infrastructure platform strategy through Smart-V, going beyond supplying a simple virtualisation solution by combining security and performance.
Cplatform CEO Geun-tae Bae (배근태) said Smart-V is a strategic platform that combines virtualisation technology with next-generation cryptography technology. He said it is a solution that meets market demand for both cost efficiency and trusted security. He added Cplatform would establish itself as a competitive platform business operator in South Korea's virtualisation market based on in-house technology.
