ITCEN NTECH said on Wednesday it signed a main contract with SLGI, which has an exclusive business agreement with Sri Lanka's National Lotteries Board (NLB), to build electronic lottery and lotto systems in the country.
Under the contract, ITCEN NTECH will oversee overall technology work from designing a next-generation lottery system to development and maintenance for nationwide use in Sri Lanka. It plans to sequentially build the electronic lottery system and the lotto issuance system, targeting a launch in the second half of the year, and to transplant South Korea's advanced IT technology into the Sri Lankan market.
The project is set to supply the lottery solution CenLottery. CenLottery is a cloud-native lottery solution developed by ITCEN Cloit, an affiliate of the ITCEN Group, and includes high scalability, high availability and anti-tampering features.
ITCEN NTECH plans to provide an advanced system optimized for the local Sri Lankan environment, based on its experience in stable operation and management of domestic lottery systems.
An ITCEN NTECH official said, "This contract is meaningful in that the technological capabilities of domestic lottery systems have been recognized by an overseas government institution," and added, "Through the partnership with SLGI, we will lead a successful system opening and use it as a reference to expand our position in the global lottery IT solutions market."
