Korea Oracle said on July 27 that three South Korean startups, including VMIC, PromptTown and KAB Labs, joined Oracle’s startup cooperation program Miracle and enhanced industry-specific work processes based on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Miracle is jointly run by Oracle, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the Korea Institute of Startup and Entrepreneurship Development (KISED) and Seoul National University of Science and Technology to support South Korean startups’ global expansion.
Korea Oracle said VMIC (VMIC), which develops IT solutions for aircraft asset management, operates an AI-based aircraft asset management platform called AirStream. It said VMIC cut infrastructure costs by up to 50 percent after migrating to OCI. The company plans to build a service base to support customers across global aviation finance hubs including Ireland, Singapore and the Middle East.
VMIC Chief Executive Kyo-hoon Nam (남교훈) said the aviation finance industry is entering a new transition period that is innovating asset valuation and management through AI and data. He said adopting OCI has made it possible to help customers make data-driven investment decisions faster.
PromptTown provides a sketch-based AI platform called Piix Studio that helps manufacturers and designers develop products quickly.
PromptTown built a cloud-native MLOps environment using OCI Compute, OCI Kubernetes Engine (OKE) and OCI Database PostgreSQL, cutting infrastructure operating costs by about 40 percent compared with its previous cloud environment. It also shortened real-time image generation speed to about 0.5 seconds.
PromptTown Chief Executive Jin-wook Seo (서진욱) said manufacturers need an AI platform that can securely protect highly sensitive design and operational data while integrating smoothly into production environments. He said OCI has the strong performance, scalability and security needed to deliver tailored AI experiences for businesses. He said the company will innovate and scale faster while supporting manufacturers and designers to achieve smart, efficient product development based on their own know-how.
KAB Labs operates an AI-based platform called T Flow that helps automate the broader international trade ecosystem, including trade document verification, letter of credit (L/C) analysis and payment processing. The company said it used OCI Compute and OCI Document Understanding to cut trade document processing time from about 1 hour to within 1 minute. It also said it increased processing speed for knowledge graph embedding and an AI review engine by up to 5 times.
KAB Labs Chief Executive Geun-je Lee (이근제) said the global trade industry often faces constraints such as delayed decision-making and higher costs due to complex and excessive paperwork. He said AI can drive innovation in the trade ecosystem by converting simple documents into real-time data and automating stalled workflows. He said OCI provides the performance and scalability needed to enter new markets and deliver that vision to customers worldwide.
