NHN is discussing acquiring Innogrid to expand its cloud business. It drew a line, saying nothing has been decided yet.
On April 6, industry sources said NHN is pushing to buy a stake with the goal of becoming Innogrid's largest shareholder.
An NHN official said, "Nothing has been decided at this time, and we will disclose it if any decided matters arise later."
Innogrid's largest shareholder is currently Etechsystem, an IT solutions and services company and the holding company of Etvers Group.
Etechsystem invested 23 billion won in Innogrid in 2024 and became its largest shareholder.
Innogrid's main strength is its private cloud platform, and it has secured multiple references in the public and financial sectors. NHN has been running public and private cloud businesses through its subsidiary NHN Cloud. The acquisition of Innogrid appears to be part of efforts to strengthen its private cloud business.
NHN also has NHN Injea I&C, a subsidiary of NHN Cloud, providing cloud adoption consulting, design, deployment and operations.
