Netflix BTS concert draws 18.4 million viewers worldwide on day of show; buffering and subtitle lag need fixes
Netflix livestreamed BTS\' comeback concert at Seoul\'s Gwanghwamun Square and said 18.4 million viewers watched worldwide that day. The show was carried exclusively to more than 190 countries and regions, and Netflix said it ranked in weekly top 10 lists in 80 countries and was No. 1 in 24. Viewers reported buffering, freezes, low video quality, delayed subtitles and frequent audience shots, raising questions about unicast streaming limits during traffic spikes.

KT blocks base station overload at BTS concert with AI within 1 minute
KT said it secured stable service quality at a large concert held on March 21 at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, even as wireless and OTT traffic more than doubled from a typical weekend. It said it expanded capacity in advance by deploying six mobile base stations and newly building 79 wireless base stations and 14 Wi-Fi units. On the day, it used AI-based traffic control solutions W-SDN and AIONET.

SK Telecom said it provided stable communications services at a large K-pop concert held near Seoul\'s Gwanghwamun on March 21 by using an AI-based network operations system. It said 12.15 terabytes of mobile data were used in nearby areas during the three hours around the event, about double the previous weekend. People in their 20s accounted for the largest share of data use at 30 percent.
