KT will hold a 2026 World Cup street-viewing event at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul and run a customer benefits promotion.

KT said on Saturday it will host the street-viewing event at Gwanghwamun Square on June 12, 19 and 25, for a total of three sessions, together with the Red Devils and the Korea Football Association.

KT is an official partner of South Korea's national football team. The event is part of KT's nationwide World Cup cheering campaign, "All of us together. Cheering." KT will run advertising and customer benefit promotions alongside the street-viewing event.

KT will work with JTBC, the official domestic World Cup broadcaster, to air South Korea's World Cup qualifying matches live on two large media walls installed at the KT Gwanghwamun Building West. At the venue, cheering messages and videos submitted by citizens online and offline will be shown on the media walls.

The submitted cheering messages will also be delivered to the national team, which is preparing for matches in Mexico. On the day of the event, there will be advance performances of World Cup cheering songs and experience booths.

KT will also run a "Strong cheers, packed benefits" promotion through July 19 to mark the World Cup. Customers who visit KT stores nationwide will receive World Cup cheering goods featuring images of national team players on a first-come, first-served basis. Customers who leave cheering messages via QR codes in stores will be entered into a draw to win the latest smartphones including the Galaxy S26.

KT flagship stores in Seoul's Hongdae, Gangnam and Gwanghwamun areas and in five major cities nationwide will also operate photo zones for cheering the national team. It will provide additional benefits through a photo verification event and mini football games.

KT has also prepared a product sign-up event during the World Cup period. Customers who sign up for at least one of KT's mobile, internet and TV products can apply, and winners will be selected by draw to receive prizes including a 3 million won travel gift certificate, Samsung Moving Style, and a signed uniform by player Kang-in Lee.

Dong-hoon Kim (김동훈), executive director of KT's public relations office, said KT will support citizens in cheering safely and conveniently based on experience built over 26 years as an official partner of the national football team. He said it will foster a new World Cup culture through the Gwanghwamun Square street-viewing event and KT customer benefits.
