LG Uplus launches U+tv Today Life to check weather, news and financial information

LG Uplus said on Oct. 26 it will introduce U+tv Today Life, an AI-powered service that provides daily information such as weather, news and finance. The service is a living-information dashboard that appears with live broadcasts when the TV is turned on and can be used with a TV and remote without installing an app or signing up. It offers weather forecasts, headlines, market indices and local information, with additional features such as linking Google Photos.

Google adds personalization to Gemini for cars with Gmail, Calendar and Photos integration

Google is adding a personalized information feature to Gemini for cars, allowing drivers to find schedules and locations and get navigation using voice commands without checking email or photos directly. The company will roll out Personal Intelligence to Android Auto from Oct. 20 local time and plans to apply it to Google Built-in vehicles in the coming months. The feature uses connected services such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Maps and Photos and is off by default.

Google adds app integrations to AI Mode, supports Instacart, Canva, YouTube

Google has added a feature in AI Mode that lets users connect some external apps and continue tasks directly. TechCrunch reported the feature will be applied first to U.S. users, and the supported apps at launch are Instacart, Canva and YouTube. The update expands AI Mode beyond conversational search to handling tasks in frequently used apps. Google plans to increase supported apps through partnerships.
