A survey found that Google was the most-used productivity app in South Korea in November 2025.
Wiseapp Retail, a market and competitor analysis solution based on real-time app and payment data, said this on Tuesday, citing its survey of monthly active users (MAU) for major productivity apps and usage rates by category.
Productivity apps refer to mobile apps that help individuals or organisations carry out work, study and daily activities more efficiently. Google logged 46.4 million monthly users in November 2025.
It was followed by Naver with 43.75 million, Google Chrome with 42.78 million, Gmail with 20.97 million, Google Drive with 9.52 million, Google Photos with 7.69 million, Hancom Office Viewer with 7.58 million, Daum with 5.49 million, Naver Mybox with 4.46 million, Polaris Office with 4.19 million, Google Sheets with 3.89 million, Microsoft 365 Copilot with 3.52 million, Zoom Workplace with 3.01 million, Naver Mail with 2.93 million, Microsoft OneDrive with 2.92 million, Naver Calendar with 2.53 million, Adobe Acrobat Reader for PDF with 2.38 million, Microsoft Excel with 2.19 million, Google Meet with 1.93 million and Google Docs with 750,000.
By category in November 2025, web browser apps such as Google and Naver were used by 98 percent of South Korean smartphone users, the survey found. Email apps such as Gmail and Naver Mail were used by 43.6 percent, file storage apps such as Google Drive and Google Photos by 37.9 percent, office tool apps such as Hancom Office Viewer and Polaris Office by 37.4 percent, memo and calendar apps such as Naver Calendar and Google Calendar by 12.7 percent, and video conferencing apps such as Zoom Workplace and Google Meet by 9.3 percent.
The survey was conducted by Wiseapp Retail using a sample of South Korean Android and iOS smartphone users. Apps installed only on a single mobile operating system were excluded.
