TVING announces compensation plan after leak of 39.54 million accounts

TVING, which suffered a leak involving personal data from about 39.54 million accounts, announced a compensation package including 5,000 won worth of points, a premium viewing upgrade, insurance against hacking and phishing, and entertainment coupons. The company put the perceived value at about 20,000 won per person, but it is not cash. Users who have withdrawn must rejoin to receive compensation, and the application window runs from Sept. 7 to 30.

LG Uplus expands Udok Pick benefits, adds eight AI subscriptions

LG Uplus said on Monday it expanded the lineup of Udok Pick, a flagship product on its subscription platform Udok. Udok Pick lets customers add lifestyle benefits to main services such as YouTube Premium, Disney+ and Google AI Pro, and change selected benefits monthly. The revamp adds partner perks including CGV 1+1 ticket vouchers, Baedal Minjok and Kakao Emoticon Plus. Eight of its 10 AI subscriptions are now offered as Pick add-ons.

LG Uplus launches Aldot Club benefits program for budget mobile customers

LG Uplus will offer lifestyle benefits such as dining, culture and subscriptions to customers who activate service through its budget mobile platform Aldot. The company said it launched a dedicated program, Aldot Club, expanding benefits beyond new sign-ups to existing customers. Offers will be updated every Wednesday and split into Basic Club and Special Club tiers based on usage period. The company plans to broaden eligibility and strengthen brand partnerships.
