LG Innotek Q1 operating profit up 136 percent on year to 295.3 billion won
LG Innotek said on April 27 it posted first-quarter revenue of 5.53 trillion won and operating profit of 295.3 billion won. Revenue rose 11.1 percent and operating profit jumped 136 percent from a year earlier, with revenue the highest ever for a first quarter. From the previous quarter, revenue fell 27.3 percent and operating profit declined 9.1 percent. The company cited solid demand and strength in high value-added semiconductor substrates.

After AI chips, robots give components makers a double tailwind
Samsung Electro-Mechanics and LG Innotek have entered a new beneficiary phase in robotics, following AI server demand. Brokerages raised target prices for Samsung Electro-Mechanics and forecast its 2027 operating profit to exceed 2 trillion won, citing expectations of higher MLCC prices. LG Innotek is also expected to beat first-quarter profit forecasts as robot camera module supply expands. Both firms are seen shifting structurally toward B2B demand from data centres and robotics.

Nexthrus draws 500 visitors to solo booth at GDC 2026, steps up global game ecosystem push
Nexthrus said on March 16 it wrapped up its participation in GDC 2026, the world’s largest game developers conference. The company ran a solo booth at San Francisco’s Moscone Center on March 11 to 13 and drew about 500 visitors. It operated the booth with partners including DMCC, TRON, verse8 and the Blockchain Game Alliance, and held on-site mini sessions. It also announced multiple strategic partnership agreements and plans follow-up talks.
