[Digital Today Lee Ho-jung] Nexthrus said on Tuesday it will announce the direction of cooperation in the ecosystem of its on-chain game platform 'Cross' through a partner session programme at GDC 2026.

During GDC 2026, to be held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco from March 11 to 13 local time, Nexthrus' exhibition booth will host a partner programme featuring the Blockchain Game Alliance (BGA), Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) and Verse8.

BGA will hold a session focused on blockchain-based game payments and economic structures. It will introduce a model that lowers users' payment burdens and secures developers' upfront revenue through the split-payment solution 'Merso'. It also plans to present a strategy for approaching the global game payments market using stablecoin-based payment infrastructure. BGA will also share how it aims to move away from an early token-centric structure and build a sustainable game economy model spanning web2 and web3.

BGA is a non-profit industry group founded in 2018. It aims to promote links between the gaming and blockchain ecosystems and spread awareness of the technology. More than 500 companies worldwide currently participate as members.

DMCC will introduce support policies for game and web3 companies, along with the background to the growth of Dubai's game industry. It will present its game-industry support system, including the strategic advantages of serving as a regional hub linking Europe, Asia and the Middle East, as well as corporate attraction programmes, talent development policies and streamlined licensing procedures. Key topics also include the environment for global expansion, such as regulatory clarity, tax efficiency and access to capital.

DMCC is one of the world's largest free trade zones, with more than 24,000 companies based there, and is a key institution for building Dubai into a global trade and investment hub. Nexthrus set up a local subsidiary in Dubai last year, NEXUS HUB FZCO, and is accelerating its push into global markets including the Middle East and Europe.

Verse8 will present on AI-based game production environments. It plans to introduce a work method that uses AI agents across the entire development process, from planning through implementation, as well as a development model in which developers design and AI executes. It will also share a data-based validation method in which prototypes can be produced quickly without cost burdens and project go-ahead decisions are made after immediately checking reactions from Verse8's 13 million global users.

Nexthrus made a strategic investment in the AI-based game production platform Verse8 last year and signed an exclusive partnership. It onboarded about 360 games through Cross Forge, its on-chain game-economy infrastructure. Those games operate in an on-chain environment that applies token issuance and liquidity linkage.
