AI era pushes security firms into governance and cost control
Security companies are stepping up AI security while expanding beyond traditional security into AI governance, risk control and cost management. PRIBIT AI is shifting its identity from a security company to an AI governance and risk-control firm and has announced an execution strategy. F5 has introduced an AI gateway that applies consistent policies to AI requests and manages access and usage for models, agents and tools. Korean companies are also joining OpenAI-led cybersecurity cooperation initiatives.

U.S. automakers fall silent on EVs as China rolls out new models
U.S. legacy automakers have sharply reduced announcements and public references related to electric vehicles, prompting criticism that their EV strategies are effectively retreating. CleanTechnica reported that companies once issued far more EV press releases than their actual sales share. The shift is linked to Tesla’s rise, then weaker-than-expected market response and sales. The re-election of President Donald Trump has also increased policy pressure, encouraging firms to scale back programs or avoid comments.

Tesla considers offering robotaxis as service center loaners, app code suggests
Tesla appears to be considering providing robotaxis to customers who visit service centres for repairs, instead of conventional loaner cars. The move is not confirmed, but related items were found in the company’s latest app code. The code also references paid loaners, e-bikes and a ride-hailing option. Tesla currently offers loaners or provides Uber credits. Any rollout could depend on autonomous driving regulations and may be limited initially to areas where robotaxi operations are established.
