Saudi Arabia moves to build auto industry, unveils 1,111-hp Exobot EV

Saudi Arabia is moving to foster its auto industry through Ceer, its first domestic full-vehicle maker. Ceer unveiled two electric models, the Exobot sedan and SUV, positioning them as part of Vision 2030. The company plans to expand its lineup to seven models by 2030, including hybrids. It is focusing first on the GCC while developing vehicles for fast certification in Europe and North America. Ceer highlighted performance, digital features and local production plans near Jeddah.

Tmap Mobility forecast that Chuseok homebound traffic will be spread over several days, while return traffic will concentrate on a single day. It projected the heaviest homebound delays by route from Sept. 23 to 25, including Seoul to Busan at 7 hours 3 minutes at noon on Sept. 25. Return congestion is expected to peak on Sept. 25, with Busan to Seoul seen at 8 hours at noon.

Europe carmakers seek \'made in Europe\' breakthrough against cheap Chinese EVs

Renault Group\'s Romanian brand Dacia has moved production of its second-generation Spring electric car from China to Slovenia while keeping its Italian starting price at 17,900 euros. The top Journey trim also stays below 20,000 euros. The new Spring is a full redesign sharing a platform with the Renault Twingo E-Tech. It is larger than before and uses a single front motor with a 27.5 kWh LFP battery.
