FuriosaAI sets up Singapore unit, steps up push into Asia-Pacific market
FuriosaAI said on Thursday it has established a local unit in Singapore to serve as a base for business development, sales and technical support across Asia-Pacific. The company said the move reflects expanding global commercial deployments of infrastructure based on its second-generation AI inference accelerator, Renegade. FuriosaAI plans to broaden cooperation with regional companies, governments, cloud providers and infrastructure partners to accelerate large-scale AI inference adoption.

ElevenLabs plans to build data residency in South Korea to meet local companies\' data security and storage requirements and accelerate its push into enterprise voice AI. Eugene Liang (유진 리앙), the company’s Asia-Pacific head, said data residency is already in place in Singapore and discussions are under way for Korea, though no timeline has been set. Until then, ElevenLabs offers options such as zero retention that do not store platform interactions.

Qualcomm holds \'Dragonwing IoT Day\' in Seoul, unveils 16 partner demos
Major South Korean companies working on industrial AI and IoT technologies gathered at an event hosted by Qualcomm Technologies in Seoul. Qualcomm said it held its \'Qualcomm Dragonwing IoT Day\' at The Grand Lotte Seoul, sharing technologies and application cases related to industrial automation, robotics and agentic AI. About 500 people from domestic customers and partners attended. Qualcomm introduced new platforms and tools and partners presented strategies and cases. The event featured 16 demos from 10 companies.
