White House science tech adviser says AI job fears are exaggerated, companies shift blame
A senior White House science and technology adviser criticised some companies for tying layoffs they would have made anyway to artificial intelligence, saying they shift responsibility to AI because it resonates better in the media. Speaking on a podcast, Michael Kratsios said the narrative can help explain job cuts and support share prices. He also said he remains optimistic about AI’s long-term employment impact, while warning against pessimistic messaging that worsens public perceptions.

NIA begins building \'Hyper AI Network\' for industrial sites with SKT, KT participation
South Korea\'s National Information Society Agency is working with mobile operators, manufacturers and AI companies to build a Hyper AI pilot network based on 5G standalone mode and AI-RAN technology. SK Telecom and KT will lead separate consortia to build AI-based next-generation networks at industrial sites and demonstrate physical AI services using robots. The 17.2 billion won project aims to verify network performance and support commercialisation of ultra-low latency, high-capacity services.

Ryu Je-myeong meets Singapore digital ministry vice minister to discuss AI cooperation
Ryu Je-myeong (류제명), second vice minister at South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT, met Foo Chi Hsia, Singapore\'s vice minister for Digital Development and Information, in Seoul on Tuesday to discuss AI policies and follow-up steps from leaders\' meetings. Ryu introduced South Korea\'s \"AI full-stack\" ecosystem and shared the country\'s AI action plan, AI transformation efforts and projects. The two sides also discussed forming a digital consultative body to swiftly implement a digital cooperation memorandum of understanding.
