AD Technology targets North American AI-RAN and DRAN markets

AD Technology said it will target the North American AI infrastructure market with its self-developed 2-nanometre CPU platform. The company said it signed an MOU in New Jersey with Kenyi Technologies to develop a next-generation high-performance computing SoC platform. The partnership marks the first customer project application for AD Technology’s custom CPU, ADP620. The companies will co-develop an edge server solution integrating ADP620, a DPU and Arm-based chiplets.

KT CEO Park Yoon-young vows to build \'AX platform company\' and step up security investment

KT\'s new chief executive Park Yoon-young (박윤영) said he will develop the company into an \"AX platform company\" leading the AI era while fulfilling its role as a key national telecommunications operator. He said this year will be the starting point for the transition, built on stronger fundamentals and clear growth. Park pledged to make necessary security investments, tighten governance and operations, review IT and network infrastructure, and prepare future technologies including 6G and quantum security.

SKT and NTT Docomo publish AI-RAN white paper

SK Telecom said on Monday it has jointly published a white paper with Japanese mobile operator NTT Docomo on the evolution of virtualised base stations (vRAN) and the implementation of AI-based radio access networks (AI-RAN). The paper analyses advanced capabilities, technical requirements, key implementation technologies and expected benefits from a mobile operator perspective. It highlights clear separation of hardware and software, resource pooling for flexible infrastructure, and AI computing functions using virtualised base station systems.
