KB Kookmin Bank to support 80 billion won in guaranteed loans for decarbonisation firms
KB Kookmin Bank will expand corporate financial support for decarbonisation and the creation of a carbon-free energy ecosystem in partnership with the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund. The bank said it signed business agreements on June 22 and will make special contributions totalling 4 billion won. Based on that, the fund plans to supply guarantee certificates worth about 80 billion won. Eligible firms include those covered by green process transition and carbon-free energy guarantees.

Amsterdam Schiphol airport trials electric TaxiBot tug, expects 80% cut in aircraft ground emissions
Amsterdam Schiphol Airport has begun trial operations of the electric aircraft tug TaxiBot to sharply cut emissions produced during ground movements. The airport is testing the system in a real operating environment and expects it to reduce carbon emissions from ground taxiing by more than 80 percent. TaxiBot can move aircraft and supply power without running the main engines or auxiliary power unit, cutting fuel use, noise and exhaust exposure.

Western Digital completes carbon-free energy transition at 5 manufacturing sites
Western Digital is pursuing an energy strategy aimed at sustainability as AI storage demand accelerates, it said on April 23, publishing its FY2025 sustainability report. It said it now runs five manufacturing sites on 100 percent carbon-free energy and raised renewable energy use across global manufacturing to 66 percent. It also reported lower emissions intensity in product use, new supply-chain targets, and progress on recycled materials and rare-earth recovery.
