Naver discusses AI infrastructure cooperation with Brazil and Chile

Naver said on Monday it met key companies and government agencies in major South American countries including Brazil and Chile to discuss working-level cooperation on entering the artificial intelligence infrastructure market. It held relay meetings in Brazil with data centre operators Scala Data Centers and Tecto Data Centers, and discussed SaaS distribution, smart cities and GPU cluster projects with Chile’s Entel. It also introduced public AI solution infrastructure to Chilean officials.

Elice Group to build modular AI data center based on Nvidia B300

Elice Group plans to build a modular AI data center equipped with 2,560 Nvidia B300 graphics processing units, using a hot-water cooling method and outside-air cooling technology. The company said it was selected to participate in a government-backed program led by the Ministry of Science and ICT and NIPA to strengthen AI computing resource use. It targets a power usage effectiveness of about 1.1 and will deploy 640 GPUs in each of four buildings.

Hana Financial to deliver about 1,300 heatwave \'happiness boxes\' to vulnerable groups

Hana Financial Group will deliver about 1,300 “heatwave happiness boxes” to communities nationwide for people vulnerable to extreme heat. The group said it will start with a counselling center in an Incheon jjokbang area and distribute the boxes sequentially. The boxes are designed to help older people and other vulnerable groups get through summer and include cooling bedding, a stand fan, cooling T-shirts, arm sleeves, hydration and electrolyte jelly, samgyetang and instant rice.
