Samsung Electronics\' Galaxy S26 Ultra has been named the Android smartphone closest to Apple\'s iPhone 18 Pro Max, with an assessment that it is effectively the only product able to match Apple\'s top model when hardware, software completeness and global distribution are weighed together. Engadget called it the most balanced alternative, while noting Apple still leads on processor performance and video recording quality. iPhone Pro base model price rises 20 percent in seven years
Apple\'s iPhone Pro base model price rose $200 over seven years, increasing from $999 in 2019 to $1,199 in 2026, based on the base Pro model each year. Engadget reported that prices rose across the iPhone lineup this year, beyond a $1,999 foldable model. Anthropic renames Claude top tier to Ultra, scraps 5-hour usage cap for verified accounts
Anthropic has renamed the highest-priced personal plan for its AI assistant Claude to Ultra and removed the five-hour usage cap for verified accounts. The $200-a-month Max 20x becomes Ultra and the $100-a-month Max 5x becomes Max, with prices unchanged and existing users moved automatically. Weekly limits remain. The new usage multipliers are based on different time periods, making direct comparison difficult.
