Samsung Electronics launched its entry-level Galaxy A18 LTE on Thursday, featuring a large display, AI functions and a high-capacity battery.

The Galaxy A18 LTE will be offered as models for South Korea’s three mobile carriers and as an unlocked version. It comes in 3 colors: black, silver and light blue. It is priced at 425,700 won.

It features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display. Its AI functions support Google’s Gemini and Circle to Search. Users can search for information in natural language through Gemini or use Circle to Search to look up information about images and objects on the screen.

On the back, it has a triple camera setup, including a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera, as well as ultra-wide and macro cameras. On the front, it has a 13-megapixel camera. The battery capacity is 5,000 mAh. It is 7.7 mm thick and weighs 196 g. It supports IP64-rated dust and water resistance. Storage can also be expanded via a microSD card of up to 2 TB.

It also supports Samsung Wallet, a simple payment service, allowing users to pay at offline stores with cards registered on the smartphone.

Jung Ho-jin (정호진), a vice president at Samsung Electronics in charge of its Korea business, said, "The Galaxy A18 LTE is a product evenly equipped with features consumers use often, including a large display, cameras and AI functions." He added, "With consumers in mind who want both a reasonable price and practicality, we plan to continue operating a diverse lineup."
