42Maru CEO Kim Dong-hwan appointed adviser to public website UI/UX committee

Kim Dong-hwan (김동환), CEO of agentic AI startup 42Maru, was appointed on Aug. 27 as a prime minister adviser at a government event in Seoul. The Public Website UI/UX Committee checks inconveniences on major public websites frequently used by the public and prepares service improvement measures. Operated by the Office for Government Policy Coordination, the panel includes government bodies and 10 experts across design, UX, AI and data.

Dinotisia joins Kolon Benit AI alliance to expand industry-specific AI deployments

Dinotisia said on Aug. 18 it will join Kolon Benit’s AI alliance and expand tailored AI projects by industry. The company plans to build on its AI deployment experience in accounting and legal services, aerospace and defence, and automotive manufacturing. Kolon Benit’s AI alliance, launched in June 2024, has about 100 AI technology and solution companies participating. Dinotisia said it has technologies needed for enterprise AI deployments.

LG Uplus adds Live TV+ to new Mercedes-Benz S-Class in South Korea

LG Uplus said on Aug. 18 it will install its self-developed real-time video channel service, Live TV+, in Mercedes-Benz Korea’s new “The New S-Class.” LG Uplus will act as the carmaker’s official software partner, handling service development, content supply and operations. The service offers 28 broadcast channels without separate account authentication and delivers content over in-vehicle wireless communications rather than DMB. It also supports different channels on multiple in-car displays.
