42Maru CEO Kim Dong-hwan (김동환) was appointed on Aug. 27 as a prime minister adviser at the certificate presentation ceremony and first meeting of the Public Website UI/UX Committee, held at the Government Complex Seoul.

The Public Website UI/UX Committee is an advisory body formed under the prime minister to review inconveniences on major public websites frequently used by the public and to prepare service improvement measures that people can tangibly feel. It is operated by the Office for Government Policy Coordination.

The Ministry of the Interior and Safety and ministries in charge of the websites participate. Ten academic and industry experts in areas such as design, UX, AI and data were appointed as prime minister advisers. The committee selects major public websites and identifies inconveniences and areas needing improvement based on each site’s service flow, while proposing specific improvements and supplements. It also verifies the effectiveness and practical viability of improvement measures presented by the relevant ministries.

Kim will provide advice based on 42Maru’s know-how in agentic AI and UX demonstrations, built through commercialising intelligent search based on natural-language queries and a conversational agent interface. He plans to focus his views on inclusive public AI agents that prevent user drop-off caused by administrative terminology and complex authentication procedures, and that also cover digitally vulnerable groups such as older people and foreigners.
