Officials from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) government and financial companies visited KakaoBank to review its mobile-first digital banking services and organisational practices. KakaoBank introduced its customer-focused user interface and user experience (UI and UX), technology-based service development methods and agile organisational culture, expanding global digital finance exchanges.
KakaoBank said on Tuesday that about 30 participants in the UAE Prime Minister's Office-run NAFIS Leadership Programme visited its Pangyo office on July 20.
The visit took place as part of the NAFIS Leadership Programme jointly run by the UAE Prime Minister's Office, the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (ETCC) and the National University of Singapore (NUS). This year's Korea visit programme was arranged through Yonsei University's Sangnam Institute of Management.
The delegation included programme participants and officials from the UAE Prime Minister's Office, the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council and the National University of Singapore. Employees of major UAE financial companies also attended among the participants.
KakaoBank introduced the delegation to its digital banking service operating practices and its customer-focused service design approach. After touring the Pangyo office, the visitors held a Q&A on the digital bank's user experience and technology-based service planning and development methods.
The delegation showed interest in how KakaoBank improved customer convenience through mobile financial services and in its agile organisational operating methods for rapid decision-making and execution, the company said. They also exchanged views on digital finance, corporate culture and UI and UX.
A KakaoBank official said, "Interest in KakaoBank's digital finance services from foreign governments, institutions and financial companies is continuing," and added, "We will expand cooperation to promote domestic financial technology in the global market."
