Dunamu to work with Seoul on digital finance education for youth

Dunamu, the operator of Upbit, will work with the Seoul Metropolitan Government to expand digital finance education for young people, aiming to strengthen economic and financial capabilities and improve understanding of digital assets. The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding and plan to build a public-private education model to help youth respond to issues such as finance, housing and asset building. They will combine Dunamu’s education content with Seoul’s youth-policy infrastructure.

SKT reads commercial districts with financial data, offers tailored support for small merchants

SK Telecom is combining telecommunications and financial data to analyse local commercial districts and support small merchants. SKT said it signed an MOU with the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation, KB Kookmin Bank and KB Kookmin Card for data sharing and joint research. The partners will merge foot-traffic, merchant sales, commercial-district indicators, shop histories and banking deposit and loan data to assess district changes and funding demand and better time policy funds and guarantee support.

K-AI models deployed across public administration, from R&D budget reviews to elderly care

South Korean AI models are being deployed across public administration, from government R&D budget reviews to services for seniors living alone. The Ministry of Science and ICT said domestic models from Upstage, LG AI Research and Naver are being integrated into central and local government work. The rollout includes a shared AI platform for government networks, development of science-focused models through the K-Moonshot programme and an AI competition using K-AI models.
