Shinhan Bank, Seocho-gu, Seoul credit guarantee foundation cooperate to support growth of AI, ICT firms

Shinhan Bank will work with Seoul\'s Seocho-gu district and the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation to support AI and ICT companies in the Seocho area with financing, guarantees, consulting and investment links. The three parties signed a comprehensive agreement on Sept. 7. The plan covers support by growth stage, from identifying firms to credit guarantees, financial consultations, management consulting and investment connections. They also plan joint briefings, consultations, IR and training programmes.

MSIT to overhaul AI Hub to cut duplication, improve quality of public AI training data

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT will build a government-wide integrated management system to address duplicated construction and weak quality control of public-sector AI training data. The ministry will overhaul the current AI Hub into an integrated provision system so public institutions can check in advance whether planned datasets overlap with existing ones. It will also introduce pilot operations this year and distribute quality and build-use guides to ministries, local governments and public bodies.

IBK Industrial Bank of Korea seeks applicants for AX-based fintech demo day

IBK Industrial Bank of Korea is recruiting companies to take part in a demo day aimed at discovering AX-based fintech firms, in cooperation with the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Seoul Fintech Lab. The event will be held on Oct. 27 at Conrad Seoul in Yeouido as an official program of Seoul Fintech Week 2026. A total of 12 firms will be selected through screening, with three awards offering grants and support programs.
